Student turned Teacher at ALA!
My name is Sandra Brown,
I have been working as a Tutor with the Adult Learning Academy for over a year now and I really enjoy what I do. I first started as a student doing the PTLLS which is now called AET (Award in Education and Training). I also completed my Assessor qualifications and have other qualifications in Management and Health & Social Care as well as plenty of experience in these sectors.
I really loved the way that the Academy worked and when I was offered the role to be a Tutor I jumped at it because of the experience I would gain.
Over a year on and I am now a more experienced tutor having worked with quite a few students whilst working with The Adult Learning Academy. I have tutored students in Team Leading at Level 2 ILM, BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management (QCF), Customer Service Level 2 and now I am doing the Leadership in Health and Social Care Diploma. It’s good to work with the students because I work with them either one to one or in a group, most people enjoy the courses because they learn so much and because they have their own tutor. I work with the students on a one to one basis most of the time because the support is more effective but where there needs to be teamwork we do that as well.
If you would like to study one of these subjects please contact The Adult Learning Academy and I am sure you will be successful is what you want to accomplish.
